Back, 9/17/07 The lump on the lower left side of the trunk is where a large branch was removed with a concave cut & cut pasted. It will eventually close, but the lump will still be there. To the right & above is another cut where Iremoved all of a large brance, but left a small central stub. After the stub dries for a year or so, I grab it with pliers & twist to break it & leave a small jagged stub. I think this one might already be broken off. This is a very effective technique to disguise a large cut - in a short time it will appear to be the jin remaining from a small branch. | ||
